Observers (2025)
Observers 2022–2025 Published in H7O | Magazine Host The work explores the visual language of scientific observation within a group of biologists—primarily herpetologists—during field research. Rather than documenting the findings themselves, I focus on recurring bodily situations, gestures, and postures tied to the act of searching: someone crouches by a bush, another stands still, looking down at the ground; sometimes a body lies flat. They are all watching for something. The figures become part of the landscape—embedded in it—while simultaneously, and inadvertently, taking on the role of observed objects themselves.
